Melaneice Gibbs is a Creative Director, Choreographer, Dancer and Baton Twirler. Her technical background includes ballet, jazz, contemporary, and West African dance. As a HBCU performer with Jackson State University Sonic Boom of the South, she is best known for creating forward-thinking concepts within the realm of HBCU dance. Melaneice has over 10 years of experience coaching, creating opportunities, and bridging gaps of diversity for dancers. She has produced pageants for the Miss Black & Gold Midwest Regional Pageant and is a well sought after instructor and competition judge. Melaneice is celebrating her third season with the Tennessee State University Aristocrat of Bands as the Director & Choreographer of the Sophisticated Ladies, and Creative Director for the band's Grammy nominated album, the Urban Hymnal. Her choreographic work has been viewed nationally, with performances at Essence Festival with Jekayln Carr, Sir the Baptist, and Dubaa; ESPN College Game Day "The Greatest Story Ever Played" Campaign; the Rose Bowl Parade; ESPN's First Take; halftime for the Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Tennessee Titans; and the outgoing salute for and featuring the 30th International President & CEO of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated during the 2022 AKA Boule. Melaneice sits on a diversity committee with NFL coaches and choreographers. She coordinated & choreographed the first NFUHBCU collaborative halftime performance between the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders and the TSU Sophisticated Ladies, and partnered with the Memphis Grizzlies to coordinate the first majorette dance competition hosted by a NBA team. Her partnership with the Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders grants the Sophisticated Ladies the opportunity to work with the NFL cheer team and their coaches for professional development, as well perform once a year at a Tennessee Titans football game.
In an effort to bring education to the forefront of HBCU dance, Melaneice collaborated with Dancing Dolls (DD4L) owner, Dianna Williams for the Buck or Die Majorette Training Camp: HBCU Edition. This event brought 130 dancers to the campus of Tennessee State University to receive training, a campus tour, and an inside look at becoming an HBCU dancer . Since her inception, she has taken the Sophisticated Ladies brand to the next level, heightening national recognition around the team. Melaneice is the recipient of the 2022 Women Who Rock Nashville Health Impact Award. She has been featured in Essence Magazine for her creative and innovative costume designs and routines, The Tennessean, and has also presented as a panelist and speaker at the California African American Museum where she spoke on the evolution of HBCU Dance.

Jameson Hamilton is a talented dance professional with years of experience in coaching, choreography, and performance. He served as an Assistant Coach for Southern Queens from 2015 to 2017, where He worked closely with the lead coach to provide mentorship, choreography, discipline, and training workshops.
In 2016, Jameson worked as a Choreographer for the WCHS Prancing Wildcats, creating dynamic and engaging routines for performances and assisting with the selection of team costumes and uniforms. We was also a valuable member of the JSU Dance Ensemble from 2011 to 2016, collaborating with fellow dancers on choreography, participating in performances, and helping to coordinate stage productions and team costumes.
As a Choreographer for the JSU Dazzlers from 2011 to 2016, Mr. Hamilton showcased their skills in jazz and hip hop choreography. He also received training as a student at Children's Moving Co. in Zachary, LA, from 2016 to 2017.
JAmeson's diverse experiences have given him a deep understanding of the importance of discipline, teamwork, and creative expression. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Jackson State University and is passionate about sharing his love of dance with others.

Jalen Jones is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and raised in Dallas, Texas. A classically trained dancer since the age of two, she has attended various dance studios; including The Dallas Black Dance Theater. While in high school, she was a part of her school's dance team for all four years, serving as co-captain during her last two. As Jalen developed a new passion for choreography, she was also a member of the soccer team and a part of FCCLA. Jalen now attends 'THEE I LOVE', Jackson State University where she is a senior majoring in ethnic studies. Ms. Jones joined J-SUEDE in the fall of 2019. She has maintained membership even through the Covid Pandemic and now serves as the president of the organization. Jalen is very a outgoing and outspoken woman, who enjoys time with her friends. She loves to be social, hang out with her friends, and go on crazy adventures that enhance her college experience.
Born and raised in Memphis, Tn, Nia Hughes danced Majorette and HipHop styles throughout her high school tenure. Nia attended Kirby High School, where she was a member of The Beast From The East Marching Band. For her first three years, she was a member of once named “Glamorizing Kougarettes”, then as a part of the “Blue Sapphires”, where she was the captain her senior year. Ms. Hughes not only danced in school, but she also acquired several accomplishments as a student. Nia was in JROTC where she became battalion commander her senior year and 4th brigade commander of the Memphis area district. Other honors include National Honor Society membership and as one of the top 25 students in her class. Of her many goals and aspirations; Shelby County Schools Student Congress as she served as a student leader for her high school and was awarded 2 certifications in Microsoft Word and OSHA. Transitioning into college, Nia attends Jackson State University "Thee" and majors in Criminal Justice. Nia joined J-SUEDE in the fall of 2019 and with this organization, has experienced many different styles of dance. Awarded the “Most Dedicated” for the 2021-2022 season. Even during the Covid-19 Pandemic, she has maintained continuous membership. Nia now serves as the Vice-President for the 2022-2023 season. Nia is a natural-born leader who encourages all those around her. She serves as President of her church praise dance team and also a Coach/choreographer of the Kirby High School Blue Sapphires. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family cherishing the small moments of life. Her personal motto “Live in the moment while you can , even when life has its bad days.”
